Technical Conditions.

The elements needed for the production of the advertising message must be furnished on a digital support (CD-Rom). In the event of an insufficient definition for a full screen show, AFRICAPHONEBOOKS reserves the right to reduce the posting without any reclamation being possible for that alteration. Those elements and their support will not be returned to the advertiser after diffusion of the message, but will be destroyed.

The only supports accepted by FTP International for advertising production are a Digital Betacam copy or, failing that, a Beta SP « Dolby On » first generation. Each support must be furnished with a specifications sheet and a leader in conformity with the FIMM/FICAM recommendations. The advertising spots will be broadcasted according to the reference signal of the leader.

FTP International offers to the advertisers the possibility of broadcasting the messages on multichannel sound (Dolby Surround,4.0 Dolby Prologic I or II or any multichannel encoding on a stereo track). Those sounds will be furnished encoded in stereo on the tracks 1 and 2. The stereo sounds must be furnished on the tracks 1 and 2. Failing that, in the case of a monophonic sound, this sound must be present on the tracks 1 and 2 without any lead or lag displace.

FTP International requests the submission of elements created with a minimum of generations (maximum: two), being given that the furnished support will be digitalized and compressed on arrival after checking and acceptance. The support will have to be a « small format » cassette.

FTP International will check whether the duration of the film corresponds to what has been requested in the order form.
The film will be rejected if this verification shows that the duration of the furnished message does not correspond to what had been requested in the order form in accordance with the advertising offer.

Furthermore, FTP International reserves the right to refuse any support which would not be in accordance with the characteristics stipulated in the present article, notably if, after alignment on the reference signal, the audio level is above 0 dBvu for analogical cassettes.
The reference value for Digital Betacam cassettes will be of 0 dBvu= -18dBFs, the film’s analogical measure having to respect the same values as for an analogical cassette.
